Vikas Sood, the visionary behind Business Marketing Agency, has a journey that spans across multiple industries and continents. Starting his first business at just 12 years old in India, Vikas ran a successful Printing & Publishing house, serving prestigious clients like Mitsubishi, Singapore Airlines, and Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals. His meticulous attention to detail and business acumen quickly set him apart, and after 8 years, he sold the business for a significant sum.
Ever the explorer, Vikas transitioned into hospitality, working as a chef at renowned hotels like Nirulas and Taj Palace Hotel before immersing himself in the rapidly evolving IT industry. His knack for technology led him to become a specialist in application development and RDBMS, eventually landing an opportunity in Qatar. After excelling as an IT Network Specialist, Vikas moved to Australia in 1996.
In Australia, he was recognized for his academic excellence, earning accolades such as International Student of the Year and Microsoft Programmer of the Year, while completing his Master’s in Information Technology. By 1999, he had founded a fully managed IT services business, operating 24/7, which he later sold in 2016, following years of success.
Beyond business, Vikas is a celebrated author, with three published books, including his hit The Serious Business Owner’s Guide to Explosive Business Profits, which sold out in its first month. Currently, he’s working on a new book focused on marketing for small businesses.
A family man, Vikas enjoys life as a husband and father to his 18-year-old son. In his free time, you’ll find him gardening, cooking, or watching classic films. An avid sports enthusiast, his true passion lies in helping start-ups and small businesses flourish through affordable, effective digital marketing strategies. He also likes to share his business and marketing knowledge through the blogs.
